Today's post, as mentioned yesterday, is a brilliant little tune from post-Southern Death Cult project Getting the Fear. The band drew heavily lyrically from William Burroughs, as well as themes on religion, sexuality and identity. Musically, they were still very much routed in the post-punk tradition, but there is something psychedelic, experimental, about some of these songs. 'Yurune' in particular, and the beautiful slow-burner 'We Struggle' feature some quite unique chord voicings and gorgeous melodic tensions.
'Yurune' is great fun to play and can be attempted by players at all levels!
